Summer in Canada - Day Three

Our second day in Canada we decided to take dad and Cheryl to Parliment Hill in Ottawa, Ontario. This is like Washington DC in the US. They have a beautiful campus. Parliment Hill overlooks the Ottawa river. Just on the other side of the river is Quebec.

This is the beautiful library which was the only building that did not burn down in the fire of 1916 where the rest of centre block was destroyed.

A picture of the lock system that goes from the Ottawa River to the Rideau Canal.

Cheryl and I got the chance to pose with a CUTE Royal Canadian Mounty Police!
