Her room was soooo plain before hand.... the paint color was the same throughout the entire house. Here is a "before" picture with her new quilt.
Old Wall color....
New Wall color.... and VERY scary at first! It was a bright lime green for the first few days.... you could see the color bouncing off all the walls outside her room.
It toned down a bit once we painted the ceiling white and added the crown molding around it. Danny worked hard to make sure all the cracks were filled around the mold. Lucy did a great job supervising also.
After the walls had dried we decided to try our luck with pink stripes. It took forever to get everything lined up correctly and evenly.
We both had big smiles to see that our hard work had paid off once we starting pulling off the tape.
Our next big feature to work on was the tree. I had found it in Restoration Warehouse in a magazine. With a little help from the overhead projector we were able to get it drawn and painted on the wall. I think this was the night Danny and I stayed up until 3 AM to get it done.
While I was busy working on our life size tree, Danny worked on the bed he designed for Izzy. We found a few idea's out of a Pottery Barn magazine and Danny put it on paper for his guys at the office to build.
As you can see.... it is adorable!
We decided to add a little "personal" touch to Izzy's room by painting some wooden leaders white and atttaching them to her wall.
